This solo exhibit of over 20 paintings represented a new body of work for the internationally exhibited artist Avetis Krtikashyan, who is also a resident at ACE/121. During the course of the exhibition, Avo transformed the gallery into his studio, painting live during gallery hours.
Avo was born and educated in Yerevan, Armenia. He received his training at Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts, but has lived and worked in the US for over 25 years. Known for his large scale, colorful and expressive work, Avo was the first resident artist to have a solo exhibit at ACE/121, which opened in May 2017.
